Celebrities read aloud 12 stories of Christmas on Fonetti

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

We're bringing festive cheer this holiday season with our '12 Stories of Christmas' campaign! For each day on the 12 days of Christmas, a celebrity will read a story from the main Fonetti library. Our exciting lineup of guests include Clare Balding, Ade Adepitan, Martin Roberts, Alice Arnold, Robert Rinder, Sarah Willingham, Anneka Rice, Naomi Isted, and Kaye Adams. Watch the video below to learn about Dion Dublin's experience of learning to read and how Fonetti can help.

Best of all, each celebrity has nominated one primary school to receive one year of access to the Fonetti library for free! This has been an especially difficult year for children, and we're hoping to brighten their days by bringing the magic of Fonetti to thousands of children across the UK.

“Due to the extraordinary circumstances of 2020, schools have come under increasing pressure and many primary schools have put reading at the top of their priority list.” [who said this?]

“We’ve reached out to many of the sponsored schools and they have been overwhelmed with the generous gesture offered to them. Our celebrity nominations will add to their number which is a phenomenal achievement."

One new video will be uploaded to the Fonetti website everyday starting from Chrismas Day. We're keeping the order of celebrity appearances a mystery, so check back every day to find out who is reading which story.

Fonetti is a tablet-based, interactive reading practice app. It uses Auris's multi-patented automatic speech recognition (ASR) engine to engage children with reading, using the power of the child's own voice to accelerate and embed their learning.
